Running a cafe, Am I a total fool to consider?

I have been thinking of running our own cafe for as long as I can remember. An opportunity has come up for us to actually follow through with this. I'm looking for anyone with experience in this sort of venture to hit me with the realities of doing this. Are we crazy for thinking we could make a go if this? Or is it a worthwhile endeavour? I'd really appreciate your input!
