This is probably a silly question, but do you routinely call her by her name? I felt really sheepish when I had this same concern. I would call her name, and she'd never look. Then I said, "Peanut!" and she immediately snapped her head around to me. Repeatedly.
My baby thinks her name is Punkin. It is not.
Just a thought, if you're calling her by a nickname.

DD turns 8 months tomorrow and I have been looking at the milestones
for 7 m/o. I have read that babies should know their name and
turn to face the person calling them.
DD rarely reacts to her name, I think it is more of a case of her turning to my voice rather than the specific word.
Any other 7/8 months old babies that don't recognize their name?
