Too young for child care?

HI,

My maternity leave & Paid Parental leave finishes at the end of Jan, and I've joined currently 6 month old DD in childcare. She will be one week shy of 7 months when she starts. Any sort of advice we've been given however, is that she's too young, or that she's too small. Should I be waiting a few months more? I realise this is quite a sensitive topic, but I am concerned about her age and would like some reassurance from mums who've done the same.
