Fun Easter Holiday Activities

Easter Egg Hunt – Make the classic game more interesting by adding clues or riddles for older children. Get them moving with active clues, e.g. “Hop five spaces to the left, do three jumping jacks”, before they get to the sweet stuff!

Egg Rolling/Bowling – Get some hard-boiled eggs, let the kids decorate them (add go-faster stripes etc!) and then race the eggs down a slope. For indoor run set up bowling pins for them to knock down!

Easter Sports Day – Brilliant for good weather, play egg and spoon races, duck waddle races, bunny rabbit races (hopping to the finish line!) and any other Easter-themed activities to burn off those chocolate eggs.

The Day The Easter Bunny Went To The Moon – Inspire creativity by thinking of a silly title and asking children to write a story, draw a picture or even act out the rest.

Chocolate Spoons – A fun dessert to make, pour a little melted chocolate onto a plastic spoon, decorate with sweets or drizzled white chocolate and set in the fridge for 15 minutes.

Cardboard Tube Rabbits – Let the kids recycle Old kitchen/toilet roll tubes by painting all over, adding a cotton wool for a nose, drawing on a face and adding paper ears. Great for role play or to put on a puppet show.

Pin the Tail on the Bunny – Swap the Donkey for a cute Easter rabbit and use cotton wool as the tail.

Egg Pictionary – A good way to add some more fun into decorating hard boiled eggs, for older children write down some design ideas (e.g. Angry Birds, a Dalek, their favourite cartoon character) and get them to decorate the egg, whilst others guess. Or play it in reverse and describe what to draw with a series of clues, for them to guess!
