Woman 8 Months Pregnant To Compete In London Olympics A pregnant woman from Malaysia will compete for the gold during the London Olympics this weekend, and she’s already 8 months along! Read more to find out all the details! Nur Suryani Mohamed Taibi, from Malaysia, will represent her country early on July 28, in one of the first events during the London Olympics. Suryani, as she likes to be called, will be 8 months pregnant — one of only a few women to have ever competed in the games with child! Suryani is a shooter, and will compete Royal Artillery Barracks in the 10-meter air rifle. “Since I started shooting in 1997, I’ve been dreaming of going to the Olympics,” she told the BBC. But in January when Suryani found out she was pregnant, she thought her dreams were shattered. After talking it over with her husband and praying a lot, she decided that she would keep training, and just see what happened. Soon after, she qualified for the 10-meter air rifle and has been training harder ever since. “When the baby is born, I will tell her you are very lucky,” she said. “You were not born yet, but you competed with me in the Olympic games.” What do YOU think HollyMoms?
