What age did you take your DC to the cinema for the first time?

DS is 3. He likes watching movies at home, but he is not very good at sitting still for hours really. He can be quite a handful sometimes. I don't want to spoil the movie for others so I'm wondering what age is best to introduce kids to cinema.
