Do you live in London and have any children of 11 years and under? I need to know your point of view! 

I'm a Londom Design Masters student and am looking to gather data about parental priorities and preferences regarding taking your children to the woods. 

The aim of my project is to develop a product or service that can encourage parents living in urban areas to take their children to woodlands.

I am a postgraduate student at King’s College London looking for families with two parents and two or more children between the ages of 8-18. You will fill in some online questionnaires about how you think and feel about everyday social and health-related situations. The study will take approximately 40 minutes and will be completed in the comfort of your own home! Once your family has completed the online questionnaires, you will be emailed a £10 voucher for a family meal.

My girl had some issues after the divorce and one day she saw some gymnastic competition, one girl was dressed in that nice leotards for gymnastics and she wanted to have one. I took her to our local gym and consulted with a trainer. He was thrilled to help a kid this way. What activities are you guys getting your kids into when having hard times?

The thing about social networks is, yeah, you can see what your child is posting, but there's no way for you to know what they've been viewing or exposed to. Instagram, for example, has a lot of content that kids under 14 shouldn't be looking at. I think 14 or 15 is an ok age for kids to start on using social networks..

Each to their own. I have had friends admit that they provide TV to their kids so they don't have to deal with them as they spend most of their time in their rooms entertaining themselves.

There is lots of research into the negative effects on kids who watch a lot of TV, worth googling if you are particularly interested.

I think a 6-year old will get bored:)) My son could barely sit through a movie in the cinema when we went to see Shrek  I can't imagine that a kid could keep up with all the dancing and the music on the scene. She will either fall asleep or will be very very bored)

You could try one of those big cars for kids? All the boys LOVE them! Or if you think he is too big for it, you can give him a bike. 

I like Lloyd Cafe in the Lloyd Park! Go for a walk and see for yourself that location is just amazing.

What are your plans for this Easter? 

Just wanted to share the emotions. The performance is the best! Absolutely marvelous! The actors, the setting, the music! Everything was just perfect. Highly recommend. Both my 6yo and 8yo loved it.

She's 20 months old and she has been going to nursery since she was about 9 months. She used to like the nursery, it was never smooth to get her there though. But she is so much worse now. The tears start at breakfast and she sobs until we get there. It breaks my heart and I really don't know what to do. This is so distressing to us all. 

DD is 16mo and she's become a nightmare in the pushchair. We take a walk every day and she used to love them but recently she became unbearable, she whines and whines. Is there a magic solution?

Just that really. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I'm just curious what is an average price for a swimming lesson for a 3 yo in London these days? With a group or individually 

Hello there, we are considering a martial arts club for our DS but we are not quite sure which art would be the best for him. We would like it to be not too violent (he's 6 after all). Oh, and it has to be in Camden. Can anyone recommend anything? 

My 2yo DS does not interact with other children and adults as well. It's just like he is way to shy to even say hello in reply to someone's greeting him. Every time we go to a toddler group or a play group he will sit and play either with me or by himself but close to me, he never plays with other children. When we are at home he is a very lively and bright child but when there are people he does not not very well he just closes up. I am worried he will struggle with school too much.
