Fiona Harvey is suing Netflix for £132 million, alleging defamation and other harms after being identified as the inspiration for a character in the series Baby Reindeer. The series, written by Richard Gadd, has been criticised for claiming to be based on a true story while also stating some scenes were fictionalised. A consultant to Ofcom suggests Netflix owes Harvey an apology, but the case is currently being contested in court.
