I am going back to work within 3 months. The DS in 10 mo. We have not sorted out the child care yet but we are looking... I felt the same at first. now a year after I got back to work it does not stink so strong to be away from my baby... I can't say I do not miss her at all but it is not a constant urge to check up on her anymore. plus I'm lucky to have a good nanny
You dont have an automatic right to return to work part time after maternity leave. But you may have the right to ask for flexible working hours and this request must be considered seriously by your employer. If they do not consider it seriously, this could be discrimination.
